Hospitals and clinics have to save all patient’s data in a properly designed record that assures integrity and quality to the information.
Patients have the right to request their medical records, but this is sometimes troublesome.
The use of e-PHR will break this paradigm, since the record will belong entirely to the patient, who will interact directly with the doctors.
Each enrolled institution will generate a strong and specific UN and PW, assuming general civil liability for the expected confidentiality.
Using e-PHR, the facility will have fully access to all patient information.
As the patient can be assisted in more than one facility, the e-PHR will further qualify the information, because everything will be recorded in just one file.
